This year, I was chosen to be in a team and together we created a game called Oneirophobia. My role in Oneiro was the writer as well as the artist of the group, this meant that I was responsible for creating the story, designing the GDD, creating the concept art, and designing the forest area (part of the game scene) of our game.
I at first struggled with making the game story as detailed as possible so that the team had a clear understanding of what our theme was, what the feel was, and what we wanted our viewers to know when they played our game. I also struggled with creating part of our game seen as the hardware I was using was constantly running out of space, which halted production and completion on my end, and since I don't have the required hardware or software at home for personal use, I was limited to class time. But through this experience it forced me to understand how to prioritize certain resources in order to do something. |
